This activity will provide an opportunity to for students to examine these factors and how these influence prescribing and care through pharmacotherapeutics. Process: The student will select a common disease/illness process seen in their future advanced practice setting and identify three most common medications used to treat the illness. The student cannot select the same topic as another student. The student shall evaluate established drug protocols for these medications using research findings and trends to refine clinical practice. The power-point topics shall be approved by the course instructor to meet course learning outcomes. The presentation can be no more than 25 slides (not including the title and reference slides). The presentation should also include detailed information in the note section of the PowerPoint slides. The student is expected to use professional level resources and not information intended for the general public. Although the students can use the course textbook for some sections, however this can only be minimally. Presentation should follow 7th edition of APA guidelines for power-point references.
